What does "Growing Hearts in the Fishbowl" mean??

"Growing Hearts" means that I am trying to teach my children to have hearts for God. "Fishbowl" is a term used by those in ministry positions to illustrate the fact that people are always looking at us, our lives, our children, our actions, our mistakes - our lives are on display for all to emulate, criticize, critique, and talk about. It's not necessarily a bad thing. Pastors and their families definitely feel the pressure of trying to live Godly lives while being human just like everyone else. Unfortunately, people expect us to be perfect - and we're not. So it's a challenge.
