This is what I got with coupons on my trip to Kroger yesterday. Here is what I got:
* 2 boxes of Curves granola bars
* 2 boxes of Curves cereal
* 4 Loreal Vive shampoo
* 2 Colgate toothbrushes
* 2 packs of Bic disposable razors
* 2 packs of Olay soap (8-pk, I think - not for sure)
* 2 Renuzit Tri-Scents
* 1 Loreal Kids shampoo
* 2 packs of Almay eye-makeup remover pads
* 2 cans of Mighty Dog Select dog food
So...here's the damage. This is how I'm calculating: The SALE price of all this bounty is $54.58. That is not the original price. But since I would never buy this stuff at the original price, I won't use that. All of these things were on sale, thus the reason for using the coupons - even more savings! Are you ready for how much I paid???

$18.50 !!!
Well, whadya think? Did I do good? I don't have a calculator or I would figure the percentage saved. But I think you get the picture.
Now, I'm going to analyze: Did I really get good deals?? In other words, was it worth all the cutting out, organizing, spending the gas to drive 20 minutes there, and the hassle of finding the products, matching them up with coupons, double checking to make sure I had the right product and the expiration date was okay, and dealing with the cashier giving me weird looks?
Okay, three of these products are *new* to me. I have never eaten Curves cereal or used the Renuzit Tri Scents air freshener. So these could be hit or miss. But for .99 each, the Tri Scents can't be that bad. And I love plug-in air fresheners! LOL! I hope the Curves cereal is good. But for .75 cents a box, if it's not, it's okay. The other thing I have never used is the Almay eye-makeup remover pads. But my BF highly recommended them to me. They were half price, and I had a $1.00 coupon for them. So if use one box, and don't like it, I could give it to my BF or return the unused one and get my money back (but I would probably just give it to my BF). And I am out of eye-makeup remover, so this was a need, not just a want.
The other products I have used before and loved. I especially love the Loreal Vive shampoo for my curly hair!! The Curves Chocolate Peanut granola bars are my fave granola bars. The toothbrushes were only .25 cents. We can always use those. The razors were only .99 cents each pack. I have used these before and liked them pretty well. The dog food cans were FREE! Yes, there was a coupon that you could try a can for free, and I had two. Otherwise, we don't buy canned dog food. But for free.. :)
So there ya go. It did make me feel good to get these great deals. And I feel I got things that we needed versus just getting them because I had a coupon.

I think you did a great job! That shampoo should last you as least a year.
I'm so PROUD of you!!! ((hugs)) for a great shopping trip!!
...And yes, if you don't like the Almay stuff I'll gladly take it off your hands. LOL!! I bought out my Kroger with 3 of those, 1 foundation, 1 eye liner, 1 consealer, 1 mascarra. (Can you tell I've been saving up my Almay coupons)? Kroger's sale + my coupons are by far the cheapest I've ever bought these items.
Way to go!
Love, Mel
CAN YOU GO SHOPPING FOR ME? That's wonderful! I need some shopping tips - I am bad. I need to offset this expensive gasoline somehow! I will be checking your blog hoping to learn some things!
